Give the gift of mom friends this Mother’s Day!

There’s something about applying watercolor paint to paper that soothes the soul.

 Materials

  1. Fold watercolor paper in half and smooth the crease using the blunt side of a knife.

  1. Dab watercolor brush in water. Using a good amount of the color, brush a few strokes down the card.
  2. Clean the brush in water and choose another hue of paint. Brush several more strokes, making contact with the first color.
  3. Repeat step 3.

  1. Allow paint to dry, about 10-15 minutes.
  2. Choose a meaningful word like peace, hope, grateful or love. Sketch the word in pencil first if preferred, then paint using acrylic brush and white paint.

  1. Allow the card to dry, then enclose a message and send along to a friend who could use some beautifully made snail mail.
