My name is Martha Maradiaga, and I help coordinate a MomCo group in Los Cruces Baracoa, Honduras.
I first learned about MomCo when my friend visited the development center for kids where I work. She encouraged me to join because it was reaching moms going through similar circumstances as myself. When I attended my group for the first time, I saw women feeling calm, listened to, and most importantly, seen by God.
I am proud to say that I now coordinate my MomCo group. I had no idea that I was able to lead women until I stepped into this role. When I was asked to lead, I felt insecure and incapable because I had only ever worked with children, but I quickly learned that God equipped me in this position I was called to. My cohort community also helped me feel confident and supported in my leadership role.
My group now has about 70 women that attend regularly. I see new moms come to Christ every year. In my work, I see how The MomCo is investing in moms and in turn, impacting them. Families are spending more time together rather than coming to the development center. I know that reaching these moms is making a difference in the next generation in my community.
Thank you for investing in The MomCo. Because of you, I feel poured into as a leader and a mom, and the moms and children in Los Cruces are being truly transformed by this ministry.
